WTG is currently recruiting for a .NET Developer.
The successful candidate will report to the WTG Development Team Leader.
Overall responsibilities include:
As part of the Development Team the successful candidate will work on a variety of customer and internal projects following WTG development processes and procedures. Provide subject matter expertise on pre-sales work and assist the development of WTG’s Business Process Platforms and Intelligence Frameworks. Candidates must have an aptitude to learn new Microsoft Technologies and have a “can-do” attitude due to the variety of work on offer.
Required skills and experience:
- A minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience using .NET and Microsoft technologies
- Knowledge of agile (Scrum) and Prine2 project delivery approaches
- Strong self and team organisational skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong knowledge of object orientation and design patterns
- Experience in development and modelling using UML
- Experience in relational databases
- Understanding of test methodology and test driven development
- Thorough knowledge of:
o C#
o ASP.NET
o Visual Studio 2003, 2005 and 2008
o .NET 1.1, 2.0, 3.5
o nAnt
o SourceSafe/Subversion (SVN)
o MS SQL server
o Web services
- Highly desirable knowledge of:
o MS XRM
o MS Sharepoint
o MS FAST search
- Desirable knowledge of:
o CVS
o nHybernate
o AJAX
o Visual Studio 2010 and .NET 4.0
o Development of re-usable products
o Public Sector clients, in particular those in the Criminal, Justice and Intelligence communities.
